I have used an online service called Elance for about a year for various project outsourcing for my websites. Elance is a website that is similar to Ebay in that it is an auction site, except that you post a project (something that you would like to receive bids on) and the various service providers bid for the job you posted. It works similar to sending out a tender or RFP (request for proposal). You can use them for web development, graphic design, software, engineering, administrative services, business strategy, writing and more. Whatever you are looking for.
One word of advice, though. Just like hiring any service provider, I would check their references and their payment schedules. This is especially true online as you will probably never meet face to face with the person you are hiring for your project.
Registering and posting a project is free. I have included a link to the site on my SEO Tools page.

Whew…I just finished camping out on Darren Rowse’s ProBlogger site for the last couple of days.
The site is dedicated to helping bloggers add various income streams to their blogs. Darren has been called a “six figure blogger”, and runs several blogs online, including ProBlogger.net. Darren’s writing style is down to earth and easy to understand, and he is definately an expert when it comes to blogging.
I thoroughly enjoyed the article series Blogging for Beginners, which is great overview on the basics of blogs and blogging. Some of the topics include:
- Planning out your blog
- Creating or choosing your design
- Effective writing techniques
- How to make money from blogging
If you are considering the world of blogging, or are on the lookout for ways to make money online, I would highly recommend checking out ProBlogger.net.

In my last post, I discussed ProBlogger.net and Darren Rowse, who is a full time blogger. Turns out, he has partnered with another well known blogger, Andy Wibbels to develop and launch a course on blogging for “online riches”. Andy has worked with many small businesses to educate them about the powers of blogging for business owners. If you are serious about blogging, and would like to eventually blog full time, the course may be perfect for you. The course is called Six Figure Blogging. You can also check out Andy’s professional blog, where he shares his experience with small businesses and individuals looking to blog.
