So here is a look at my new toy. After much consideration on what to get for a PDA / all in one device, I went with the UTStarcom 6700. I needed something that would connect easily to Microsoft Exchange, as we use it at the Trinus office. WIth the new Mobile 5 technology, connecting is a snap. We purchased 8 of these units for our office, and we were all connected “live” to the mail server in an hour. We had considered the Blackberry as well as the Palm platforms, but those technologies required a 3rd party tool to connect properly to the mail server (Exchange). Not to mention that I wanted something with a little more multimedia capabilities (1.3 MPX camera). Windows is always good at plugging in lots of multimedia…now only time will tell how stable the platform is. This new model by UTstarcom came from the Audiovox 6600. I think Audiovox sold the model to them. Anyway, I am off to listen to some podcasts!
